Don't plan on kiting before 10 am. The spear fisherman are out at that time and kiters are not supposed to be out at that time.
Have you checked ikitesurf, it has maps, local info, etc.
November/december gets heavy surf on the north shore.
I just read that Maui has not had a good season this year. The trade winds have been gusty and guys are overpowered on 6M's.

I went to Oahu in the summer and had a blast. Kailua is not so great as far as wind but probabaly the most beautiful place to kite in the world. I headed to the North shore at Mokuliea and it was unbelievable. Nicely powered and nice easy roller waves to ride. Was only my second time wave riddding and picked it up fast. Be carefull there in the winter though because it is still the legedary North Shore and Nov/Dec is the big wave season. Kailua should be good that time of year.

A few years ago I spent Thanksgiving on Oahu. The wind got really light at that time of the year, we got perhaps 2 days out of 7 at Kailua Beach with tradewinds.
But the so called "Kona Winds" start blowing in winter. At Kailua Beach those would be offshore. So we went to Waikiki where some locals were launching. It is however a sketchy place and I would not do it again, was naive at that time. It is sketchy because there is no real good way to get out - the only one is to climb over a jetty and crawl down the rocks.

Also the water can get shallow in some areas and coral sticks out. But....I had a BLAST!
And...it is a few years ago but we saw Martin Vari there jumping over one of the jetties. Crazy dude

The weather is variable during those months. It might rain, it might get cold, the trades might blow, kona winds might blow, the surf might get huge. You'll get a little bit of everything.
