Forget all the safety issues we discussed, seems now boardsports, my employer is public enemy no. 1 , legislaters and government officials are being contacted, not to mention a bid to bring in the media!!!. Is everyone crazy???We may as well just decapitate some small child with a beach sweep of our lines and be done with kiting at Alameda, and guess what?, EVERY other site in the bay, that is what municiapalities do when they see that their neighbors in gov. are experiencing problems.Southern calif. has already had large areas banned entirely from use by windsurfers AND kiters for disagreements of a much smaller nature.Government is not and will never be an advocate of our sport. If businesses are required to pay concession fees so be it, that is a separate issue that is of questionable wisdom to challenge if it brings on such attention and devisesiveness. It puts it right out of Anns hands and into other buracrats hands who couldnt give a f--k and no amount of petitions or outcrys by us will ever be able to restore access EVER!.

Don and all other interested parties,
I owe you all a little apoligy: Once again I've spoken out without enough facts or hearing all the parties involved side of the story. Now I have heard enough to conclude I'm going to stay 100% OUT of this issue. This is a struggle between business pure and simple. The police responce was excessive but thats life- end of story (at least for me).
Kite boarding is alive and well, THATS WHAT I CARE ABOUT!

Just Facts
I have personally called the owner of Boardsports several times. In fact I spoke with him days before this incident requesting a meeting.
Furthermore I spoke with the employee in charge on the beach hours before I was arrested. During this conversation I communicated vehemently that the actions taken against myself could be considered "obstructing a business".
I have tried countless times to communicate with both Boardsports and the EBRP.
Never once NOT ONCE has either EBRP or Boardsports EVER contacted Kite Wind Surf about this.
Those that are uninformed can feel free to contact me directly for any details.
I implore that you gather as many facts as possible before posting on forums such as these.
I suggest ending this thread and controversy by no longer discussing it. In time the bad PR will disolve and absolution will be given.
