Are leaks a big deal in a used kite? Isnít a leak something you can fix easily?

Depnds on where it is located and the type of hole.
If it is near a valve they are hard to fix. If it is in the body of the bladder and small hten its no problem. Long rips can be repaired but obviously the quality of the repair matters in how well it is going to hold.

You might want to think about it as if it were a bycycle tire what kind of tube repair would be comfortable starting a long trip on...same idea with a kite.

I would be sure of where the leak is before I bought the kite otherwise deduct the cost of a replacement bladder. They do not fly so well with saggy struts and leading edges.

You can also buy a new bladder from a dealer or a place like airtime up in the gorge.
