If you're looking to pick up a cheap shorty, Costco is selling one for $40. Not sure about quality though.MJS Type S wrote:Can anyone recommend a store that sells wetsuits for a good price? I also need boots. I have no idea where to buy. Thanks everyone

Jim,
If you are looking for a high quality wetsuit for low prices you can take a look at our selection at www.live2kite.com

We also have booties and everything else that you might need to get started such as:
Helmets, impact vest, harnesses, as well as kites, bar/lines, boards etc at significantly lower prices. We are also located in the Bay Area!

I have the Costco $40 wetsuit. It's a great wetsuit, however you won't be able to use it until June or July as the water is still too cold for a shortie until then.
As far as booties, go, most people around here don't use them as they are rather uncomfortable vs. going barefoot. The downside of going barefoot is that from time to time you do get small cuts on your feet from stepping on rocks (especially at 3rd ave during low tide). I would hold off on the booties unless you have really sensitive feet.

Thanks! Ill try starting without them then. I appreciate all the feedback, thanks again.Big Al wrote:I have the Costco $40 wetsuit. It's a great wetsuit, however you won't be able to use it until June or July as the water is still too cold for a shortie until then.
