Wind on Sunday @ Berk

I was kiting at Pt. Emery yesterday. The wind was good. Right around 3pm, a big thunder head was over alameda looked like. I was on the water and the wind just went up 3 notches all at once. Check ou the wind graph

I was so lit, it was insane. Thank god that I am a big dude who can se the rail of the board hard and hang on. For those 15 minutes, I was wishing that my 12m kite was an 8m. Some sweet jumps. No unhooked stuff.

Good winds, Z.

We were at Alameda when it hit and I almost collided with someone. All around me kites were dropping like flys and I saw someone get body dragged almost to the shack. Their kite was looping over and over but the guy would not let go. It was crazy but after that there was some great wind for sending it high up in the air. =D>

There were funnel clouds on the Peninsula at that time too, according to the weathermen. I was done by then since I maintain a strict "no tornado" kiting policy.

Toto, we are definitely NOT in Kansas anymore.
Go bigga'

Hello Z,

There might be some funnel clouds today, let's go hit it. :tonqe: Nah, but there might be some good wind today when it's not raining. Can you imagine your kite making contact with one of these? Talk about kiteloops!
