Do any of you have experience kiting Bodega Bay? I have never kited there, but it looks like it might be a good set up for today. Any advice/recommendations would be appreciated before I make the drive.
-thanks

Kiting inside the Bay or harbor is probabaly your safest bet as the water is more calm and there is a lot of room to kite. You can try to go out in the waves but you should have advanced skills and be able to ride waves. It can also be a bit dangerous if there are surfers out there. You should always avoid ares where people are surfing and always give them right of way. You have the power of the kite they can only paddle. Just my advice.

Inside the harbor rocks, outside is questionable from a safety standpoint but I've heard the Coast Guard guys are quite vigilant if you go down and need rescuing. Never tried it myself on the outside though.

Thank you for the sound advice. I did not try going out today, but I probably will venture there one of these days.

Did anyone end up getting out anywhere today? I saw windsurfers out at Larkspur, but no kites on the water there.
