STFYC KITE RACE SERIES RECAP: THURSDAY, MAY 18TH, 2017

Oh boy, it does not get much better than that. Tonight, marked the third night of the season and the conditions could not have been better. 25Knots at Anita rock made for some exciting (and fast) racing. Most of the fleet was on 8-11m kites which means 25 Knots upwind and 30+ downwind bringing exciting racing right to the beach at Crissy!

Johnny Heineken took the night again (1,2,1), but tonight Joey Pasquali (2,1,2) was able to strip the second race off him ending his undefeated reign. Third for the night went to Daniela Moroz (3,4,4). I guess it was only a matter of time until the next generation showed up the old guys, Daniela has proven two Thursday nights in a row that she has found a 7th gear, volume to 11… buckle gents, she is coming for you (for the 5 guys in the world she isn’t already beating). Stefaans Viljon (4,5,4) coming fourth for the night, showing that on the windy night’s consistency is key. Out of towner Matt Taggart (5,3,8) rounding out the top five with some impressive downwind legs.
