Well, they'd stand a good chance of coming back with an infectious or communicable affliction or disease anyway as a result of kitesurfing in sewage anyway...or get robbed int he streets as other athletes have... Might as well wait for a more pristine and civil venue...

Looks like dressage and windsurfing are gonna be duking it out again for the title of most boring summer olympic sport in Rio - Woo!

As others have stated, if kiteboarding had made it into the Olympics, it would have been LEI kites and unidirectional race boards so together with the venue, the sport definitely dodged a bullet.

IMO, Olympics are where sports go to die. Shotput anyone?
