Re: Kite Foil Gold Cup Info
Erin thanks for posting ... If we're recreationally foiling Crissy this weekend - you know, the good old-fashioned low-aspect strapless silicon island style stuff - it sounds like as long as we're upwind of the Crissy field launch we'll be upwind of the course?
"From Crissy Field: all kiters will launch from a small regatta village at Crissy Field. This is a great place to interact with the athletes up close, and also where you can watch them round the top mark."
I might be out surf-foiling ferry wake but I want to try to stay out of the race course's way... And yes, I plan on rocking Hook The Captain for tunes on my iPhone while I'm out there - after all, I learned from the best ... Thanks!

NO !
I strongly recommend to NOT kite during the foil kite races. The course is huge and the upwind mark is close to the bridge.
We have 68 competitors out there.
There is not much room on the beach.
Especially on the weekend.

I got ya Jeff maybe another weekend then - I know the launch will be an issue with that many people racing ... seen it in action - Maybe launch at OB and sneak down for just a peek though?
Be safe, have fun out there all
