I've never been slowed by all the kids on the beach when entering/exiting the water at Sherman, and I have never felt intimidated by freestylers doing tricks above the cove. It's the kites hanging in the air around the beach but not moving in or out and beginners launching out there instead of the main launch area that make me nervous. As soon as I am kiting across the water, I feel like a horse set free from the corral in a tornado.
