I was driving along highway 37 on sunday to do some mountain biking and noticed the northside of the highway could be a spot for some killer butter sessions. The bad news is I think that is a wildlife preserve. Can anyone confirm that the only time I will be kiting there is in my pajamas?

Thanks,
Blair

there are no real spots where you can see water but along the north side of 37 (sears point road) there are some bodies of water that look nice.

I've been thinking about this too, because I live down the street. I believe they're flooding the field, or some other form of wetland reclaimation, and they now have no tresspassing signs posted. (not that you were really allowed to go out on the field in the first place?). Plus, unless you know of easier access, the bay is like 1 mile away. A friend and I went on a hike through the field trying to get to the bay, and had the Coast Guard start sounding off sirens and stuff when we were about 3/4 there ;) We turned around and went home.

Oh now I know where that is. Ya, I would not kite there. I think that is protected land and they would probabaly fine you if you tresspassed out there. I could be wrong but it looks like a nature preserve. I know in Alameda there is a protected bird sanctuary that you can get a huge fine if you are caught swimming or boating in that area.
