Sherman Kite in the Trees

Post by kitecrazy » Wed Jun 11, 2014 12:37 pm

I noticed on Friday and Saturday (June 6th and 7th) that there was a kite stuck in the trees behind the playpen in the County Park.
Is the kiter OK? Was an ambulance involved?

Maybe I should be asking:
Who asked a tree to help launch their kite?
Why is a tree learning to kite?
Why wasn't it a yellow (or was it green) Cabrinha or Monkey kite?
Did someone get the event on video?
Why are those silly windsurfers trying to hide our kites in their trees?

I doubt I can answer any of your questions, but I was up there Thursday (I think), and as I was leaving, drove by a guy walking up the road pretty scraped up. He was alive and walking, and by the time I realized he was likely an injured kiter, I was already past him and his friends had found him. From the little I saw, it didnt look like an ambulance was needed, but I bet he was pretty shaken up.

I dont know where the playpen is (is that a windsurfer thing?) and I didnt see his kite. He was walking towards the boat launch from the direction of the park entrance and was about where most of the windsurfers hangout.
