Anyone tried, or is it just asking for trouble from submerged rocks? I have no idea what the bottom is like around there.

Re: Foiling at 3rd upper launchjust make sure you are on a high tide. Don't come within about 100" of the beach as there are a few rocks that are deep but there just downwind of the entrance/ext point. Don't go upwind of the launch area into that cove as there are rocks out there and toward the trash dump hill.
Most of the bottom is pretty even flat and sandy bottom all the way out to the channel. Great place to foil on favorable tides. My Photography ==> www.Loscocco.com

I saw a guy on the coast get bapped by his foil on his face. Split the skin on his chin and and got a goose egg near his temple! I was really impressed by foiling in the ocean before seeing that...
