What site/info do you use to check the forecast for the dawn patrol at Sherman?

iKite, Sherman Island, Marker 10. Wait for the first morning of a cool down after a hot spell. Usually pans out, but don't sleep in, typically the first wind is the best wind.

Make sure to bring your sunglasses! Morning sessions you'll be kiting while facing into the sun. Winds are best when the forecast is something like this... 67 degree high for SF and a 95 degree high for Sacramento.

i've had success checking marker 10 before going to bed the night before. if it's showing good wind at 10pm there's a solid chance it will continue to the morning. if not, i don't bother setting my alarm.

Wake up an hour or so early, check the wind...if you've got it..pack up and go. If there's no wind...sleep.
Target the days where there is a strong morning ebb and you get an even better morning session.
Bring a lunch and some beer then kite in the afternoon.

+1 on the "wake up and check wind, if nothing, go back to sleep"kitecrazy wrote:Wake up an hour or so early, check the wind...if you've got it..pack up and go. If there's no wind...sleep.
