for those who already miss winter

I know our water season is just ramping up but this is too good to hide in the snowkite forum!

i'm thinking at some point these people will double line their bars cause if a line breaks mid air off a cliff, forget it. every looks at a paraglider or a parachute. redundancy.

that being said, the video is badass ::PP

Thanks for the feedback guys,

etxxz, we don't double up on lines, but we do consider transitions and snow depth upon impact. Similar to calculating gap jumps and landing ramp transitions in a terrain park at a ski resort. When we fly off a cliff or over an obstacle we'll consider the impact of the surface below us an increased risk, and ideally the increased risk is small because of the short time it takes to pass over those obstacles.

So a broken line in our gliding scenarios is not certain death, however there is a slight possibility when over an obstacle like a tree or rock for a short moment. Otherwise the snow depth and transition will be softer than water. The world record cliff drop was right near here at 255' and he landed on his head with deep snow and good transition. Walked away. Crazy...but calculated... here it is... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-RYkapHBVs8

Thanks for the feedback guys, hope this helps us not look too crazy.

Cheers,
Will
