Hey all,

I was leaving the toll plaza in Berkeley yesterday after kiting, around 5:45, and saw some backpacks and a kitebag in the bushes by the freeway on-ramp. 2 backpacks and a 7m kite. Most likely they were stolen from somebody's car. I grabbed them but had to run to night class in SF.

If this stuff is yours just shoot me a message telling me what kind of kite it is and we can figure out how to get this stuff to you. I live in SF but kite in the east bay pretty regularly.

Berkeley was very impressive yesterday... sorry to hear there was a break in, that sucks. good thing the ditched the kites though.

Update: Found the owner of the bags and kite via an old travel itinerary left in one of the bags. Lucky guy!

So what was the actual story? Got his car broken into a few days ago and stuff ended up in the bushes?

Yep. Window was smashed on his car. There were about 10 cars there at the time too. 4-5 kiters on the water and another 5 or so people on the beach. Guess we need to be careful not to leave anything visible out there.
