An update and a request:
*******UPDATE*******
We had some progress last night at the Brisbane City Council meeting.
The Council heard a lot of testimony from very upset citizens regarding the dirt mounds along 101/Bayshore that generate dust and interfere with the wind.
These mounds are in violation of a permit that has been expired for 6 years so it seems that some action will be forthcoming.
The Council also heard complaints from citizens regarding the trash that has been blowing down wind into the Bay from Recology and other sources.
They charged the city manager to report back at the next meeting with details after contacting Recology.
*******REQUEST*******
We need someone to contact Lennar, the developer for the Candlestick/Hunters Point redevelopment, to discuss the parking/access situation for their proposed plans as well as begin to discuss the impact of the proposed upwind Recology plant impact, which could possibly create a 1 million square foot garbage treatment plant directly upwind of Candlestick.
If you are interested, please let us know.
Thank you!!
