On my kite travels I run into people with these types of compression kite bags: http://www.powerkiteshop.com/x3_kite_co ... on_kit.htm

I cannot seem to find them anywhere online or in store in the US. I have found the Dakine compression sack but it does not seem as good.

Anyone have ideas or thoughts?

Try Bed bath & beyond they have space bags, basically same thing. Don't forget that coupon!!

So I had a set from Bed Bath and Beyond. Worked great going there. Sucked coming back because I couldn't find a vacuum for the life of me.

The downside of the bed bath and beyond ones is they have an adaptor fitting designed to fit with a vacuum and not your kite pump.

Just a heads up.

I use these bags:

The 6m and 8m will fit in to the med bags. All others need the large bags.

I don't bother with the vacuum or pump - just lay on them with the one way valve slightly open - worked great.

I had some from Costco, works with a standard vacuum I believe.

The costco or BB&B ones work fine....here's the secret...

Buy a valve or two from airtime and put them on the bags next to the vacuum port.
Now you can vacuum them with your kite pump. Done deal!!!

Use the valves designed for the Orange bladders, not the ones for the PU bladders.

Not my finest moment, frantically trying to google how to say "Vacuum" in spanish 20 minutes before I was set to leave.

Thats the solution! put the valve for the vacuum ones on the pump!

Then cut the little check valve off before installing. The Orange bladder one will stick to the weird plastic the vacuum bags are made of.

Just pierce a small hole in the bag, stick the valve ofer it. Close the big vacuum valve, put your kite pump hose on the other side of the handle for deflate, and suck the air out of the bag.
