Reversing rotation I agree is not as optimal as the rotation today as diagramed

Cutting a landing path that allows you to get to the exit path without having to go through the pro pool / launch / land I think is brilliant though NCK

Isn't there already an exit path to bypass the beach? I rarely see anyone use it, though.

It is annoying when the ingress path gets backed up because people are taking too long to get their asses onto the water, but that's only happened to me once or twice.

What I find to be more frustrating is when it gets challenging to get off the water because there are so many people riding right in front of the beach.

You could always just learn to windsurf and go launch down at Powerlines.

P.S. the OR coast is terrible - it's cold, cloudy, overcrowded, and windsurfers will eat your children... you should stay in California. ;-)

Here's a suggestion: the launch at the cove is for emergency landing only. No rigging/launching allowed there.

Here's some pictures to show the Sherman Launch change I am proposing. The 1st satellite photo shows the current situation. This photo was at low tide. At high tide there's no sandy beach, and it takes longer to get out from shore. A is the beginner waterstart site and B is the beginner kite launch site.
The 2nd photo shows my proposed launch with a clockwise rotation from the kite launch area (out of the photo below and to the right).

Awesome idea!
I was by myself this morning, so if I wasn't allowed to self launch from the pole at the beach, what were my options? 8)
We had about 8 people in the water this morning, worked out perfectly.
Why change it?
Again, I might have a different perception from you since I go there in the morning on weekdays.

If the rotation was changed to clockwise, the beginner launch wouldn't get in the way of traffic flow as much, so let them use it. I want to make Sherman safer for beginners while keeping traffic moving.
Also, when it's not crowded, of course anyone could use that launch. The guidelines are only really needed for smooth traffic flow/safety on weekends currently.
