Thurs., 6/27: Toll Plaza?

Post by nick_80044 » Thu Jun 27, 2013 1:39 pm

It's not looking super windy but I'm seeing white caps at Berkeley, which means the Toll Plaza could be on. Yesterday was actually rideable around 4 pm-ish but no one was there.

I'm thinking about swinging by the TP within the next half hour. Anybody game?

If nobody is there I self launch off that one log with the metal screwed to it. Use a spare kite leash run the kite out to the water and run back.

I think we removed that log when we did the beach cleanup on June 1.

Self-launching is not an issue for me---I just do the spin launch off the sand. I don't like to be the only one there in light of all the break-ins that were reported last year. And in general, I prefer not to kite alone for safety reasons.

Naw, you guys just pushed it up the embankment. Haha. I freaking KK(( that log.

I wish I could meet you out there but I work in Milpitas, so there's no way I can hoof it there in time.

You're right--I was just there and checked. See, this is what happens when you start getting old--the memory goes.

Glad you didn't bother--it looked promising for brief period, but by the time I got there it was down to almost nothing. A pleasant, warm, sunny, windless day. (:
