traveller in need

Post by thomas fr » Mon Jun 10, 2013 12:04 pm

hello kite brothers and sisters,

I'm 26, french and have been a kitesurfer for some years now, I'll be in San Francisco until next sunday (visiting my girlfriend american family) and I'd really love to kitesurf somewhere in the bay or in the ocean.
I didn't bring my gear and I have read that rental was not permitted due to insurances stuff.

Question is this : Anyone with extra gear would accompany me and lend/rent me his gear sometime this week ?

I'm an experienced kiter and I won't ruin it. I do mostly strapless now. Of course I'll pay for any damage.

I see this sport as a mean to travel and meet people, that would be cool to ride with the locals !
And I'd do the same in south of France if you go there one day !

Thanks guys and I hope to sse you on the water

I got some available kites
Your choice between -
2 - 12m2
For board selection will you be needing something on or off land?
How much bar pressure do you like?
Not responsible for an excess altitude that may be achieved with use of gear.

I would have thought that rentals wouldn't happen in the USA for liability reasons, but according to their website, Boardsports rents gear:

i don't get the liability thing if you always have to sign your life and unborn child away with a liability waiver. i've even read waivers that release the venue/host/w.e. for negligence on their part lol. Rent me some gear dammit :-({|=

but that's neither here nor there. You have a pm OP. I'll be at 3rd this afternoon.
