Has anyone done a half day downwinder ocean side? If so, where did you start and finish?
Anyone doing this regularly i can hook up with?

PS: let's not turn this into a popcorn thread :P

Wind can get pretty connect the gusts as you go down the coast due to cliffs & local venturis. Way outside I'm sure it smooths out but I'm not so sure I'd want to do a downwinder way outside without a boat right on top of me ^^

An easy fun 1-2 hour session if you take your time and play along the way is Kelly to Sloat with at least 2 people / cars, if you ever want to hit one up PM me I'm down to do those whenever

+1 for the Kelly's to Sloat downwinder. Count me in!

Be mindful that the surf can often be significantly larger in the middle of the beach and southwards towards Sloat. Sometimes waves can be easily twice as big in the middle of the beach (i.e. around Noriega St.) as they are at Kelly's

It's kind of surprising that no one has done a HMB to Waddell run with cameras and back-up skis.

I have been at Waddell when kiters came down from Gazos. I'm sure it is an amazing trip but maybe not worth the consequences of kiting over the exact spot with the highest concentration of great whites in CA (Ano Nuevo).

I'm eyeing a day to go Kelly's Cove to Sharp Park. Who's in?
