1200 tons of debris removed from the bay annually

The US Army Corp of engineers are constantly working to remove debris from the bay. The bio diesel powered boat, USACE Raccoon, is based out of Sausalito. They say they cover the entire bay weekly. I had no idea & thought it was cool. 8-)

Very cool, nice to know they're doing it and getting it done. If you've ever been part of a Bay Area beach cleanup that gets debris, what they are doing is 150-200 times that (based on weight and what we have done before)...

Very cool video.. thanks for sharing.. If you guys go down to by the Bay Model in Sausalito you can see them crushing up the huge pile of stuff.. old boats and docks. Its pretty cool. And thats where they keep the Raccoon
