Point Arena this Weekend

Hey folks.
My brother and his girlfriend are in town for the weekend. We are wanting to go kiting Friday-Sunday, but the wind isn't looking good in the bay. We were considering Bodega Bay or Point Arena. I was wondering, has anyone kited point arena before? Any advice on launching? Is it a good spot for some intermediate level folks?
