I pulled the forecast graph from ikitesurf's new site WIND ALERT....
RE: John Lindsay, not sure who John Doe is but I find Lindsay's report to be more than 50% accurate (maybe not total wind speeds but we do have wind), just like NWS/NOAA forecasts AS LONG AS TEMPS STAY BELOW 75 at beaches and inland 85. And as disclaimer I have been chasing wind locally for almost 20 years from Santa Barbara to Big Sur for paragliding and now kiteboarding:-)
Here is Noaa forecast as of today for Piedras Blancas to Point Sal out 10 nautical miles to even things out...

10 FT DOMINANT PERIOD 12 SECONDS.

FRI NIGHT

MIDNIGHT. WIND WAVES 2 TO 3 FT. NW SWELL 9 FT. PATCHY FOG AFTER
MIDNIGHT.
SAT

4 FT. NW SWELL 7 TO 9 FT. PATCHY FOG.

It should also be noted that according to Kinsley it has blown 100% on his birthday which is Saturday April 13! It is just me that was switching dates/months around when we have had freak rain storms or high pressure. From now on, Pismo KiteXpo will always happen around Kinsley's B'day:-)
