Looks Thursday will be South or SW winds which would make Alameda the spot allright...I'll be able to make it - if it's not pouring rain!

I will be at Alameda early this time. Just checking my gear now to be ready. I think I am going to where my wet suit to the beach as well. It was freezing this week. I don't want to have second thoughts about getting in the water this time!!!

A couple days ago, the few of us went out at about 10am sharp. If it's blowing good with no rain, it could be earlier, who knows? We are at the mercy of the weather, so if you want to get some kiting in, flexibility is key. Check the weather and wind in the morning when you get up and keep your pager handy is your best bet.

Let's get ready to rumble! If this forecast holds, looks like we could have 4 days straight of wind. Might be raining the whole time, but probably not.
Thursday may require your smaller kites! "WITH GALE FORCE GUSTS TO 40 KT" :!:

I'd like to come down to watch Friday if weather permits.

When you guys say Alameda you mean Crown Beach right? http://www.boardsports.com/lessons.html#alameda ?

That is correct. Not much wind yet but a huge downpour just passed and it looks like there could be wind kicking up. I am ready to go but we need a bit more wind!

Well folks, let's hope for tomorrow. Today was a bust and after all that readying up, too! Today was lots of off and on rain and intermittent winds, as far as I could tell from my pager and where I was working.
