Greetings all,

I came across a wireless wind meter on kickstarter that plugs into your iphone or android phone that some kiters in europe are trying to get funded. Device will allow you then to share real-time wind readings on the internet.

I threw in $40, which will get one of the first ones out if they get to full funding.

That's actually pretty cool. Might pop for one just based on the unique design and use of existing tech.

Very creative! I sprung for one to support the effort as well. It'll be fun to run some spot checks on WindAlert's sensors :)

"Hi All,

A huge thank you to all you backers. We just passed our 20.000 GBP target, which means that the Vavvud wind meter will absolutely, definitely, beyond all doubt, and with 100% certainty become a reality!!!

Now that we know we have enough funding to start production, we will do everything we can to accelerate the process. This will probably not mean that we can ship earlier than June - but it will at least mean that we can further reduce the risk of any delays.

We will of course not stop here. We will keep trying to get more people on board before the campaign ends, and we might set a stretch target or two. We will keep you posted
