TT questions for biginners

Hi, I'm some what new to the Bay Area & just got into wind kiting. I'm looking at buying my first set of gear.
What is a good size to practice on for coast riding??.
I come from a strong breed line of snowboarding some I'm familiar with stance, style , & technique . But size not sure.
Any advise will help & shops I can go check out.

If you're mainly riding at Waddell anything with boots should work

Bobby light! welcome to the bay!
As a beginner, maverick would be a great place to practice your body dragging skills.
But I'm surprised, I heard you were already practicing 4 inches strapless air, why go back to TT?

As a beginner, you'll have an easier time heading one direction more than the other, moreso in your strong stance. That's exactly what a 'directional' is for rathan than a twin tip, which is for people who can go both ways. I'd say 6'6" or longer.

And as you'll be body dragging at Mavs, you'll want a go-joe so your board blows back to you.

Make sure you get all the footage learning on your go-pro.

2013 is going to be all about boots on surfboards. Get on the program now and you'll be ahead of the curve.

I think you should only buy a kite for now. Use your snowboard with two pair of booties (that's how i learned) until you figure out your riding style. I have a Wikipa 2 lines with a lot of depower for cheap if you're interested...
