Great post. Without knowing HMB, you've got me excited to try it out. But I'd also like to add that Dillon is a good place to first get exposed to waves, IMHO. "A ship is safe in harbor, but that's not what ships are built for"
Re: Half Moon Bay weekend of 2/15Haven't tried Dillon yet. It's on my list this spring though.

Yes, completely safe. I heard you don't even need a wetsuit. Kites: 2013 F-One Bandit VI: 12m, 9m and 7m.

Re: Half Moon Bay weekend of 2/15So, HMB Poplar Beach was pretty epic-ish today.

Re: Half Moon Bay weekend of 2/15What the? Was that from like 4 - 5p ish?
I'm dawn patrolling tomorrow if there is anything working. The forecast is sketch but I'll post up before I head out if anything looks do-able Other than that, maybe Waddell afternoon? I think President's Day is going to be the real Kiter's Day Off of the 3-day Weekend
Re: Half Moon Bay weekend of 2/15Looks like the coast may stand a chance this afternoon.
However, I'm tempted to head to the coast at Pt. Reyes. Chimney Rock (at the point) is blowing 26. Anyone have any experience with the NW shore of Pt. Reyes Penninsula? About to bump this topic... viewtopic.php?f=23&t=5354
