Great post. Without knowing HMB, you've got me excited to try it out.
But I'd also like to add that Dillon is a good place to first get exposed to waves, IMHO.

Haven't tried Dillon yet. It's on my list this spring though.

List of places I would take my friends to learn to body drag with no big fish to worry about.
A: año Nuevo
B: Dillon
C: both in same day

Yes, completely safe. I heard you don't even need a wetsuit.

So, HMB Poplar Beach was pretty epic-ish today.

What the? Was that from like 4 - 5p ish?

I'm dawn patrolling tomorrow if there is anything working. The forecast is sketch but I'll post up before I head out if anything looks do-able

Other than that, maybe Waddell afternoon? I think President's Day is going to be the real Kiter's Day Off of the 3-day Weekend

Looks like the coast may stand a chance this afternoon.

However, I'm tempted to head to the coast at Pt. Reyes. Chimney Rock (at the point) is blowing 26.
Anyone have any experience with the NW shore of Pt. Reyes Penninsula? About to bump this topic...
