Wind Today (2/7/13)?

I'm hearing that it's getting windy on the beach at Alameda. The forecast doesn't really reflect that, though, and I'm not seeing anything significant on the web cam.

Indeed. Good 12m session Wednesday and today at OB. So weird to get those in February.
Last year I remember being soaking wet from storm riding at this time of the year.

I gambled on Alameda. It was rideable but just barely---overall, kind of a struggle, with up-and-down wind. Looks like I should've gone to Berkeley.

Without a solid lightwind riding rig Alameda is always a gamble if it's not the classic March / April NW blowout, but beautiful spot to ride
