Ya. That sums it up. I have a B.A. in philosophy so it's easy for me to get carried away.

Surfing is and always has been first love.

But lots of other loves have come along, and kiting is vying for pole position (so to speak). Fortunately wife understands all this and encourages these loves for the sake of mental and physical health.

My own view is that many of these other interests (kiting, snowboarding, etc) come together in a big way in kiting....perhaps in a way that is kind of unusual in terms of crossover sports.

I travel a lot on business. Means if I can't sleep while I'm traveling, it's pure torture. Visualization of doing all these different sports, going through them in my head is one of the best ways for me to nod off while in difficult sleeping positions (airplanes). More often than not these days, it's kiting in waves that I visualize more than other stuff. There is something that is especially 3-D about it......where to send the kite, when to stall, when to project, where to carve......

Deepak Chopra would approve.....neural net development at 35,000 ft.

I know that sounds kind of whack. But I've always been able to fall asleep almost immediately doing visualization about surfing, and doing it about kiting in waves works even better......endless possibilities.
