Kite Ireland - The Wild West Coast

Ok guys and girls. I’m running a budget-friendly tour of the great kite kingdom of Ireland. In case you didn’t know, Ireland is not only known for Guinness and whiskey, it’s one of the best kiting locations in the world. I’m originally from County Mayo so have been exploring the coast there for many years, and I’ve discovered some top spots I want to share with our community.

Here's a nice Video French rider Etienne lhote put together . It will give you an idea of some of the spots and conditions. It would seem like they went mid winter . Our trip will be early summer.

My only question is what is the waveriding like in late spring / early summer

Generally Early summer in Ireland the surf would be on the smaller side averaging 6ft but like they stated in Etienne video ,conditions can change on a daily basis. Due to the west of Ireland's location on the edge of the Atlantic ocean we will pick up swells from any direction often in epic proportions.
Here's a video with some typical conditions in Brandon Bay , Co Kerry and Lahinch ,Co. Clare which will most lightly be on the tour. I,ve kited both locations several times.
Keep in mind the tour will be mix of conditions from flat water lakes next to the ocean to 10 mile long pristine strands .
