Any chance the Kelly's cove sensor gets fixed after a week?

Post by le noun » Sat Dec 01, 2012 3:26 am

It's been off since at least a whole week...
Even if there is no wind I like checking it out to see what the beach looks like.
Somebody knows who I should email?
This is ridiculous! I want my money back!

You mean it's really not beautiful & sunny with light NW winds at OB right now?

The "Contact' link on the OB-KC.com page provides the following email:
suggest@ob-kc.com

Did you write there yet?

Just rec'd this reply to my email inquiry about the Kelly's cam:

"Thanks for tuning in. OS puked a couple weeks ago. I was unable to repair so had to set up another drive with new OS but lost all the config settings on several of the programs that produce the site. I am in the process of rebuilding these now. Standby...

Waves,

Hugh"

Subject: Cam Is Down?

Hello,

You're probably aware of this already, but just in case - the camera image on ob-kc.com is terribly out of date.

Many thanks for providing this valuable resource for all of us water sports enthusiasts! (we kite surfers use it regularly!)

I think Hugh rocks for even having it up the first place - we are very grateful

I agree! In fact, I offered to donate a drive for backup of the site and Hugh just said "...thanks, but buy me a beer sometime!"

So, as soon as I figure out how to actually do just that, I propose we (the kite community who benefit from the OB-KC cam) show Hugh some (beer) love...
