I'm excited! It's just another great reason to live in Sacramento. And for those that want to get their "surf" on, we also have SurfXteme...http://www.sxsac.com/

oh hell yes! SLIDERS. Supposed to open mid October.

Adam, Do you know if wakestyle boards work well for cable, or wakeboards are better? probably want a lot of rocker.

no interest in the cable park, however the indoor surfing is most assuredly a reason to go to Sacramento. What an epic training tool. Has anyone tried this yet, and how close to actual surfing is it?

I'd like to get on the fake wave also... sometime in December or January. Cable looks cool but i agree that I will not be going to suckramento for cable. Id rather go skurfing on by friends boat.

it's not like surfing. look at the boards. they don't have fins. considering the world class surfing we have here, you're better off, you know, actually just surfing.

Generally Cable boards (LF calls them Hybrid Boards) have less rocker than wakeboards, but still quite a bit more than even wakestyle kiteboards.

That said, most people aren't doing load&pop style tricks off the cable, so if you're just gonna hit rails and kickers, your wakestyle board would work fine.
