life is a funny thing

Post by le noun » Wed Aug 22, 2012 1:10 pm

With all the hard crash I get in the water, I pinched a nerve in my lower back at work last night while grabbing a bottle of wine out of the fridge.
I guess I should start stretching before bartending now.

similar thing happened to me.
A while back i spent the entire weekend crashing hard and destroying my body kiting in Great White infested waters... totally fine.

A few days later i reached into the fridge also and jammed my finger on a shelf and it was swollen and painful for months.

I guess its safer with the sharks than in the kitchen.

here is a fact to prove that too!
Toasters vs. sharks

Toasters kill more people than sharks do.
According to the National Geographic article there are 5 - 15 fatal shark attacks in the world every year. The Consumer Product Safety Commission in the US says that more than 300 people are electrocuted by toasters in the US alone every year.

I do all kinds of things and emerge unscathed but not long ago stood up quickly in the bathroom while turning to reach for TP at the same time and jacked my neck bad. It was sore and stiff for 2 or 3 days... IUYT

C'est la vie indeed Phil. :)
Ollie: that's what I tell my girl friend when she tells me to be careful when I'm riding.
I have more chances to get injured at home.

Average Number of Deaths per Year in the U.S
Bee/Wasp 53
Dogs 31
Spider 6.5
Rattlesnake 5.5
Mountain lion 1
Shark 1
Alligator 0.3
Bear 0.5
Scorpion 0.5
Centipede 0.5
Elephant 0.25
Wolf 0.1
Horse 20
Bull 3

That's it......I'm not going to take my dog with me when I kite anymore.........and I'm kind of curious what pieces of people the gators, wolves and elephants are getting.......and the thought of being half-eaten by a scorpion or centipede.......

in a split second I lost half a finger today- (well not really half but it feels that way) Just a little section of skin missing, THANKFULLY!

I wonder how many of us have jobs where one mistake could cost Bits & Pieces, PARTS, or the whole shabang??
