If you kite Dillon you are going to be kiting with great white sharks. They live there along with a few other species of sharks. Just saying. :::)

Hey everyone got out of the water yesterday and left because a large shark was seen.It was probably a thresher shark as the pelicans were diving and the shark was active on the top with large fins. I continued kiting but was bummed because everyone was leaving. Had to come in early so I had someone to catch my kite.

If it is over 20mph with noone around I usually flag out my kite. When flaging out u can stretch the one line then the kite pulls to one side next time out. Not scared its just easier if someone is around. All Im saying about the sharks is they are there. I dont think they will hit a kite surfer powered up. It hasnt happened to anyone at Dillon so far. I have had to drag in at Dillion and was extremely uncomfortable with that.

According to shark week there are actually approximately 220 GW sharks on the central california coast. Don't know if I believe that number.
