dont forget strapless with a fixed pully bar unhooked! Riding used and closeout kites and boards from e-bay,craigslist,ikitesurf, and local surf shops.

You got to be in surf to be surfing. I'd make an exception for a sport of snow surfing in which one rides avalanches, though it may be more aptly named suicide boarding.
I'd definitely say TT riding is still surfing if it's out in the waves. If it doesn't in your eyes, what about the gray area of mutants/hybrids. Same goes for the wind surfers vs. sail boarders. <- do they take offense to the space between words I wonder?
