Converting windsurfing to kite seat harness

I have a brand new (old) windsurfing seat harness. Anyone foresee any problem with swapping in a kite spreader bar? Obviously, it doesn't have the rear loop, but I only hook my safety into the front anyway? Seems like it should be okay.
