Nearly new 2013 SLINGSHOT Rally 8M kite, only flown 4 times. Professionally repaired as shown in pictures. Delta C design is one of the best designs on the market, in my opinion. Just as capable in the waves as it is doing freestyle. Similar kite to F-One Bandit, or Best Kahoona.
A friend wanted to compare kites, I ride F-One Bandits that are also Delta C kites so we traded for a short session. The wind suddenly got light and I made a mistake. Kite went down in the waves and was damaged. I did the right thing and bought my friend a new kite and had this one professionally repaired by Airtime Kites in Hood River, OR. I would keep it as I know Airtimes work and I know the kite will fly as if new and may be stronger than it was from the factory, but I have a brand new quiver of F-One Bandits. Other than a close inspection that shows a patch over the Slingshot label and an extra seam in the canopy it would be very difficult to tell it had been repaired.
I also have an almost new 2013 Slingshot Compstick bar listed that goes with this kite.
Make an offer!!
Thanks for looking.
The Rally, Slingshot’s versatile crossover kite, received a full reinvention in 2013 that steps up its game, with some improved handling, better upper-end wind range and better overall stability. Framed with two new wing-tip struts, the reinvented Rally is rock solid in the air and offers improved drift and balance while parked. Improvements for advanced riders also include better and higher jumping and smoother pull for unhooked freestyle. The Rally is a top choice for beginners and quickly advancing riders due to its superb stability and easy plug-and-play performance. The water relaunch continues to be superb, and its smooth pull and instant depower make it an ideal kite to learn and progress with from any level. This year’s Rally generates some additional power that is smooth and predictable through the turns. The Rally remains well-equipped for riding waves, with good balance, drift and steady pull that has replaced the quick and light snappy turns it had as a three-strut model. Bar feedback is also more positive, and smoother power delivery has replaced the light, snappy rocket, which preceded it. The Rally has the low-end power and great wind range to help progressing riders quickly advance. In 2013, it will continue to excite down-the-line surfers with its great drift and capability, and with performance and handling that move it beyond its origins.
